Betty Jean (Loper) Richie

Betty J. Richie of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away on May 4th at Alter Care in Adena, Ohio.  She was born August 14, 1926 in wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late William and Blanche (Dawson) Loper.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother, William Loper, Jr., two sisters Adeline (Loper) Oleska of Wellsburg, WV. and Blanche Charnoch of Gilbert, AZ and a step- sister, Dorothy Roman of Canton, Ohio.

Surviving are two sons, Samuel (Karen) Egan of Butler, Pa, and Daniel (Joy) Egan of Fond du lac, WI; a daughter, Molly (Thomas) Schrader of Dillonvale, Ohio; a brother, Albert Loper of Marietta, GA; a sister, Patricia Merritt of Brilliant, Ohio; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Friends will be received on Monday May 7th at 7 pm at Schuetz Funeral Home in Mingo Junction and the funeral will be on May 8th at 11 am.
