Catherine Mary DiNofrio was born in Yorkville, OH on November 20, 1922. Her parents, John DeFrancesco and Josephine Chine, immigrated from Sicily. She was the youngest of five children; Charles, Sam, Frank and Mary. She was orphaned at age 12. She lived with her sister Mary and her brother Charles and his family. On January 17, 1948 she married Domenick DiNofrio and moved to Mingo Junction. She was his devoted wife until his death in 1996 after 48 years. She is survived by a daughter Donna (Nick) Shostak of Hingham, MA and a son John (Janet) DiNofrio of Mingo Junction, Ohio. She is the loving grandmother of John, Gabriel, Michael, Abby, Benjamin and Nicole. She is also survived by eight great grand children. She was an active member of St. Agnes Church and loved attending mass. She was selfless, always putting family first. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, son, grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews and all those fortunate to have known her. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6- 8 p.m. at the Schuetz Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction. On Saturday there will be viewing at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH. There will be a Vigil service on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Offer Condolence at www.schuetzfuneralhome.com
