Cloyd Neal Kernen, 69, of Bloomingdale, OH formerly of Mingo Jct. passed away on July 29, 2022 at Trinity West. He was born on October 26, 1952 to the late Warren and Susanna (Workman) Kernen. He is also preceded in death by two sisters Shelby "Tub" Kernen, Bonnie Stromack, and one brother Warren Kelton Kernen Jr. Cloyd was a a 1972 graduate of Mingo High School, a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan, retired security guard and boiler operator for Trinity Hospital for many years, as well as a policeman in Cadiz. He is survived by his two sons Neal (Melissa) Kernen of Wintersville, Paul (Jean) Kernen of Jewett, seven grandchildren Dakota, Noah, Zach, Keithan Woods, Remington Kernen and Skylar Wallace, one niece that took him on hospital tours Arabella Bezak, six sisters Olive (Larry) Shaw of Rittman, Phyllis Belon of Mingo Jct., Sharon Roe of Mingo Jct., Diane (Fred) Pernick of Mingo Jct., Holly (Sam) Bezak of Mingo Jct., Fhonda "Kelly" (Chris) Riddle of Kentucky. Friends will be received on Wednesday August 3 at Schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave. Mingo Jct., OH from 2 to 6 pm with services at 4 pm with Rev. Dr. Vaughn A. Foster, Sr. D. Min celebrate. In Lieu of flowers a donation to the family for funeral expenses.
