Crystal Sue Garrison, a beloved sister and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, surrounded by the warmth and love that she shared with so many throughout her life. Born on September 20, 1958, in Steubenville, Ohio, Crystal's spirit was as vibrant as the arts and crafts she cherished; she had a creative flair that shined through her diamond art and crocheting.
Crystal was a talented individual who worked in various roles including telemarketing, Labor Ready, and sales. However, her greatest joy came from being a homemaker, where she nurtured not only her home, but also the connections she built with those around her. She could often be found chatting warmly with friends and family, both near and far. Her generous heart and kind spirit made her a wonderful little sister to her siblings and a kind companion to numerous friends.
She is survived by two loving sisters: Colleen McDonald and her husband, Mark, of Medford, Oregon, Kathleen “Kathy” Taylor of Sandusky, Ohio. Crystal was also a proud stepmother to Ryan, Brandon, and James "Shawn" Garrison, and her legacy continues through several nieces and great nieces and nephews who will carry fond memories of her warm laughter and generous spirit.
Crystal is preceded in death by her parents, James Carl and Myrtle Edith (Burkey) Sanders, and the love of her life, "Peaches" James Garrison. Their absence leaves a profound void, but the memories of their time together will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Valley Hospice for the compassionate care Crystal received in her final days. They also extend special thanks to her dear friends Cathy and Amy, who supported her with their unwavering companionship. Crystal Sue Garrison will be remembered for her love, generosity, and the countless moments she created that enriched the lives of those around her. May her beautiful spirit rest in eternal peace. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to FREEdom Tails Ohio Animal Rescue at www.freedomtailsohio.com/support in memory of Crystal Sue Garrison, as she was passionate about her two Lhasa Apsos, DiCarlo and Sondance.
