Curtis L. Irwin Jr., passed away on July 13, 2024 due to complications of a sudden fall. He was born on November 12, 1951 to the late Curtis Louis Sr. and Geraldine “Jerry” Alice (Trump) Irwin. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Ann Emerson, and two sisters, Christine Ferrebee and Veronica Hunt. He was best known as a coal miner at Valley Camp #1, along with his work in commercial demolition. He was a member of the Wheeling Eagles, and he was known for his compassion for his family and friends. He enjoyed motorcycles and vintage cars. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Sue (Kocher) Irwin; four children, Jenny (Bo) Ross of Martins Ferry, Robin (Bill) Daines of Follansbee, William (Terri) Irwin of Barnesville, and Sharlene Yocum of Bellaire; seven grandchildren, Nick Ross, Amanda (Erica) Ross, Ashley (Chris) Sparks, Cassondra (Jeremy) Aynes, Alison (Cody) Woofter, Becca Irwin, and William Irwin Jr.; nine great grandchildren, Logan, Madison, and Shelby Ross, Shane, Chris, Elijah, and Roselyn Sparks, Colt Aynes, and Ophelia Woofter. He is also survived by one sister, Juanita “Pinky” Irwin. The viewing will be held on Friday, July 19th, 2024 at the Salvation Army Church on 315 37th St. in Bellaire, OH from 1pm until the time of services beginning at 4pm with officiator Major Louis Patrick. Schuetz Funeral home is assisting the family.
