Darrell Wayne Ash

Darrell “Dizzy D” Ash (July 22, 1972) went to be with Lord on November 16, 2021 at the age of 49, in Steubenville, Ohio. Darrell is preceded in death by C. Darrell Ash (Father), Shirley L. Snyder – Miller (Mother), George A. Jaynes (Stepfather), and Shirley Soltesz (Mother-in-Law).  His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Darrell never missed an opportunity to help other people in need. Darrell had two passions; helping people and riding motorcycles.  Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Leanna (Soltesz) Ash, his step mother Kathy Derheimer, three daughters, Emilee (Alex) Guzman, Karisma Ash, and Faeanne Ash. Sons, CJ (Samanntha) Miller, Thomas Ash, and Brihtyn Ash. His grandchildren that were his pride and joy; Noelle and Carter Miller, and Noah Guzman. Sisters, Theresa (Emery) Musgrave, Debbie Ash, Judy (Joe) Gibson, Darla (Rick) DiPaolo, Sue Ellen Ash, and Amy (Keith) Mays. His brother Douglas Ash. His sister-in-law Tonya Soltesz and brother-in-law Todd Soltesz. He also had many cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts and many friends.    As Darrell “Dizzy D” is riding high in the sky, we will be celebrating his life on Sunday at Smithfield Friends Evangelical Church (1599 Main St., Smithfield, OH 43948), November 28th at 4 pm with Pastor Mark Carpino officiating.  Dinner will follow.  Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
