Dorothy Jean (Whitlatch) Mithcem

Dorothy Jean (Whitlatch) Mitchem, 68, of Short Creek, WV died Wednesday October 22, 2014 at home surrounded by family.  Dorothy was born April 16, 1946 in Wheeling, WV to the late George Hubert and Emma Carolyn (Richards) Whitlatch.  She was a retired house keeper of many years of service. She was preceded in death by Emma Whitchem, George Hubert Whitlatch, Clara Pearl (Whitlatch) Bartholic, and Gary Whitch.  Dorothy is survived by her husband of 39 years Joseph Stanley Mitchem, one daughter Emma (Chuck) Smith of Bellaire, two sisters Emma Whitlatch, and Anna Ryder, four grand children Christopher (Kayla) Heddleson, John and Dorothy Morrison, Harley West and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cremation has been chosen. No viewing or service will be observed.  The family is being assisted by the Schuetz Funeral Home Mingo Junction.
