Edward Dale Stevens

Edward Dale  "Cougar" Stevens 68, of Cadiz formally of Toronto passed away on June 26, 2014 in Valley Hospice, Trinity East in Steubenville, Oh Following a brief illness.  He was born October 8, 1945, son of the late Charles and Olive Ruth (Palmer) Stevens Grindle.  Also preceded in death by his wife Clara :"Boots"O'Neill Stevens; sisters; Olive Virginia Stevens, Mary Florence Stevens, Margaret Fisher, Beatrice Little, Barbara McCullough, and Dorothy O'Neill; brothers Lawrence and Floyd Stevens.

Dale was a 1965 graduate of Toronto High School.  He is a Veteran of the United States Navy serving his country from 1965-1971.  He belonged to the Phatt Boys Car Club and was a coach for the Foxes of the Toronto Girls Little League Softball Organization.  Dale also loved to camp and fish.

Surviving are his sisters Helen Grindle of Dover and Ella Louise Benton of Toronto and several nieces and nephews and their families including Alice Little and Charles Little with whom he resided.

Friends will be received Sunday June 29, 2014 at the schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave. Mingo Jct. from 2-6 pm with services will be held at 6pm with Rev. John Ater officiating.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Valley Hospice or a charity of your choice. Military Honors provided by Toronto American Legion Post # 86
