Everett Eugene "Gene" Riser

Everett Eugene "Gene" Riser, 84, of Martins Ferry, OH passed away on September 8, 2021 at EORH Hospital.  He was born on May 31, 1937 to the late Everett Okey and Wilma Lois (Berry) Riser.  Gene worked for Blowknox in Wheeling, as a machinist, he was a member of the Martins Ferry Christian Church and a Martins Ferry graduate class of 1955.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of  63 years Joan Lee (Bennington) Riser, two children Leslie (Jim) Downing of Wheeling, Brenda (Dave) McIntosh of New Port Richey, FL, five grandchildren Christopher (Kelly) Henry of Columbus, Kyle (Christina) McIntosh of New Port Richey, FL Courtney Henry of Martins Ferry, Keri McIntosh of Tampa, FL and Jesse Downing of Barstow, CA, four great grandchildren Amelia, Everett, Madison, and Reece. Gene wanted a simple cremation with private services. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
