Gari "Davinda" (Ellison) Saunders
Gari D. Saunders, 50, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Gari was born on January 8, 1969 in Monroe, MI. to Judy Howard-Sparozic and Gary Ellison. She was raised by Judy"mom" and Irving Epps Jr. "daddy" and step-mother, Carol Epps. She moved to Toronto, OH to be closer to her "Memaw" Betty Jane Howard Where she met and married Scott Miller and raised their three children there. Gari then married Tom "Tommy" Thompson who aslo helped raise her three children (like his own) and was still one of her best friends. She married her love Dave Saunders whom she spent the remaining of her life with.
Gari had a love for music, horses, swimming, gymnastics, working outdoors and was known for her love of dogs (not to mention tormenting her baby sister Destiny). We all knew she had the ability to do just about anything she wanted to. She was the type of person who would give you anything you needed and would go without to give it to you. she never met a stranger! She had close friends, Harry Howard and Steve and Sharon Hubbard who she considered family. She will be sadly missed by her childhood neighborhood friends, Kimberlyn "Kimmy" Zorn-Phillips, Connie Mills-Frost, Albert Ayala and Kevin Newsome as well as her Aunt Vicky.
To cherish her memory, Gari leaves behind her husband Dave Saunders, her children, Mathew Scott Miller, Krystal Lynn Miller-Saunders, Tiffany Marie Miller and step-daughter Ashley (Vance) Johnson, grandchildren, Kameron, James, Shaiann, Sophie, Carson, Ivan and Ryleigh. Sisters, Ricky Cooper, Marie (Juan) Abalos, Michelle Tackett, Destiny Epps and Spring (Antione) Lawson, Step-sister, Teri Brown and brother Lloyd "Junebug" (Vicky) Epps.
Gari was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Howard-Sparozic, step-father, Irving Epps Jr.,, father, Gary Ellison, Step-son, David Saunders 2nd, grandparents, Glen &Fran Ellison, grandpa, Ed Howard and memaw, Betty Jane Howard.
