Gary Robert Robson

Gary Robert Robson of Steubenville, OH, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2018, at the age of 74.  He was born on April 8, 1944, to James and Wilamina (Yost) Robson in Windsor Heights, WV. Stepfather Frank DiLeonardo actively helped raise Gary through his young adult life. Gary spent a long and rewarding career working in the steel mill moving slabs for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel after actively serving two years in the United States Army. He was a present PAC member and former member of the Mingo Junction K of C. An avid Pittsburgh Pirates and University of Pittsburgh basketball fan, Gary enjoyed regular trips to Pittsburgh with his friends and family to show his unwavering support for his beloved teams.

Gary is survived by his four children: Lance Robson of Mingo Junction; Loraine Robson and her husband Martin Lorenz of Saltaire, NY; Luke Robson of Columbus, OH; and Gary Robson of Pittsburgh, PA. Gary is also survived by his ex-wife, Paula Robson, of Mingo Junction, who, along with his children, helped care for him throughout his illness. Gary maintained close relationships with his friends in the Ohio Valley and family in Texas and Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather and brother, James Robson.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
