Keith "Wild Man" Alan Scott, 57, a beloved figure known for his charm and humor, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 31, 2024, at the age of . Born on October 16, 1966, in Steubenville, Ohio, Keith's larger-than-life personality and ability to connect with those him endeared him to many.
A proud graduate of Catholic Central High School, Keith was a devoted sports enthusiast, passionately cheering for teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Chicago Bulls. His love for life extended beyond sports; he was known for his hilarious one-liners and charismatic presence, qualities that brought joy to family and friends alike.
Keith's career included notable stints as a bartender at Milo's and Conch's Avalon, and he also worked at Pennsylvanian Fashions (Rue 21). Despite his professional achievements, the true highlight of his life was the unwavering love he had for his family. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with them, relishing in shared meals and memories that reflected the depth of his love.
Keith is survived by his daughter, Echo Marie Scott of Rayland; son, Keith "Keeper" Scott (Julia Hague) of Brilliant; grandchildren, Maddison Kay, Ivan, Alexander, Benjamin, and Conner Alan Scott; sister, Maribeth Rupert of Pittsburgh; and nephew Eain Landis. Each of his surviving family members will carry forward his legacy of warmth and kindness.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Carla (Barcus) Scott; father, Ralph Corkey Scott; mother, Rita Ann (Buchmelter) Scott; and stepfather, Martin T. Castañón. Their memories will forever be a part of Keith’s story.
Family and friends will gather to honor Keith at Schuetz Funeral Home located at 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction, OH 43938. Visitation will take place on September 8, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM with Pastor Todd Miller.
