Larry William Kropka, 77, of Rayland, OH passed away on March 11, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born on August 3, 1943 to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Whitaker) Kropka. He is also preceded in death by three brothers Gene, Jack, and Walter Kropka. Larry worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel for 36 years on the Annealing floor, he served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1966. He was an avid sportsman, hunter, and big Steelers fan. In his final days he accepted Christ as his savior and was water baptized in January. He is survived by his wife of 52 years that he married on December 31, 1968, Sharon (Conaway) Kropka, his four children Christine Kropka-Kull of Yorkville, Eric Kropka of Rayland, Dana Kropka, and Erin Kropka both of Martins Ferry, 13 grandchildren Michael, Cody, Justin, Mason, Kyla, Erik, Brittany, Addie, Ava, Brooklyn, Shaelee, Hunter, Nate, and 14 great grandchildren, one sister Louise (Raymond) Dowdell of Adena, two brothers Roger Kropka of Bridgeport, and Terry (Dee) Kropka of Yorkville, along with his dog Bella Jean and Baby Girl. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday March 16, at the former St. Lucy's Catholic Church now owned by Boroski Properties, LLC. located at 107 Lucy Ave Yorkville, OH from 11 am until time of service at 12:30 pm with Pastor Jim Monogioudis officiating. Burial to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family. A special thank you to Debbie and Roger Covington, Betty Thornton, Lexi Orban, and numerous friends that prayed and supported him. Also a Special cousin Gypsy.
