Michael John Banal

Michael J. Banal, 75, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away peacefully with his family around him on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his wife Zelia Kasper Banal; parents Mario Banal & Frances Faldowski Banal; sister Tina Banal; brother Phillip (Butch) Banal; sister-in-laws Karen Kasper & Dawn Banal; and niece Renee Banal Bonomo.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, easy smile and adventurous spirit by his daughter Melissa Banal Hoyt (Tim); son Matthew Banal (Lisa); grandchildren Grace, Gavin, Zelia (Elise), Caleb, Jacob, & Radek Hoyt; grandchildren Zane & Mirabel Banal; sisters Antoinette (Tosh) Petrosino (Tony) & June Lynn Kasal (Mark); brothers Mario Banal (Carol), Joe Banal (Ann Marie) & Mark Banal; sister-in-law Delores Banal; friend Mary (Gerry) Armstrong; brother-in- law Amuel (Jan) Kasper; two nieces; eleven nephews; six grand nieces; eleven grand nephews and numerous extended family.

A proud Dillonvale High School alumni and Army Veteran, Mike worked as a Union Sheet-Metal worker and served as Business Agent for SMWIA Local 33 in Wheeling, WV.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 5 at St. Clairsville Union Cemetery at 11am.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
