Michael Joseph Conroy

Michael J. Conroy, of Tiltonsville, OH, formerly a long time resident of Bellaire, OH, died on January 7, 2023, at the age of 72. He was born on November 27, 1950, in Bellaire, OH, during a big snowstorm. He was preceded in death by his parents June and Thomas Conroy, nephews Eric and Brian Berardi, and his beloved dogs Ben and Rebel.

Mike is survived by his life partner of 33 years Janet (Sgalla) Scott, grandson DeRon Glass, great grandson Jaxson, and stepdaughters Jennifer and Lori Scott. Mike is also survived by his son Christopher Conroy (Jana), grandchildren Dalton (Kaylee), Brennon, Mackenzie, Rylie, and Addison, sister Colleen Berardi, and stepchildren Bill, Laura, and Christine.

Mike is a US Army veteran and retiree of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Mingo Blast Furnace.

Mike spent countless hours on the floor playing Hot Wheels, camping on the beach at Pirateland, fishing and building campfires at Barkcamp and Sally Buffalo, as he grew into a beloved father figure to DeRon.

Mike loved the outdoors and shared his passion for camping, boating, fishing, hunting, cars, and racing with his family and friends. From weekends on the Ohio River, to long days racing at Fly with DeRon, to evenings spent stargazing and talking around the campfire, Mike leaves behind a lifetime of memories made with those who loved him.

A private service will be held for family at a later date.
