Patty J "Pat" (Powell) Simmons

Patty J. "Pat" Simmons, of Mingo Jct., OH passed into Heaven on January 3, 2017, at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville.  She was born in Hepzibah, WV, a daughter of the late E. Ray and Ethel Mae (Williams) Powell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Richard R. Scaffidi; and her sister Edna Berraducci.

Pat was retired from Century 21 as a real estate agent.  She was a Christian by faith.  pat was an avid reader and also dabbled in painting.  She also enjoyed sewing and was considered the family seamstress.

Pat is survived by her husband of 59 years William A. "Bill" Simmons; her three daughters, Catherine (Scaffidi) Balzano and her husband Joseph of Mingo Jct., Joyce (Simmons) Tennant and her husband Steve of Wellsburg and Darlene (Scaffidi) Corrigan of CA.; three grandchildren, Siri (Balzano) Grime and her husband Pete of Archbold, OH., Brea (Balzano) Hosenfeld and her husband Chad of Mingo Jct., and Mike Corrigan of CA., six great-grandchildren Garrett, Gavin, and Brylee Grime of Achbold OH., and Aidin, Necia, and Alivea Hosenfeld of Mingo Jct. Pat leaves the love of her life Josie her puppy. Services will be on Saturday January 14, 2017 at the Schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave Mingo Jct., OH  from 2-4 pm with services at 3 pm with Pastor Jack Earnest officiating.  In Lieu of flowers, please donate to Brooke Co.
