Steubenville

Richard "Bo" John Boso, a beloved figure whose heart was as expansive as the world he cherished, passed away on February 11, 2025, at Trinity West, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories for all who knew him. Born on June 25, 1946, in Steubenville, Ohio, Bo embodied warmth and charisma throughout his life.

His professional journey began as a Certified Welder at Weirton Steel, where he was proud to be a member of the illustrious 25 Year Club. Bo was not just dedicated to his craft but also exemplified a sense of loyalty and service that extended beyond his work. He served honorably in the United States Army for two years, achieving the rank of E-5 and attending the Academy for Non-Commissioned Officers—a testament to his leadership and commitment.

Bo was imbued with a spirit that radiated joy, particularly during the festive Halloween celebrations, where his love for partying shone through. He had a passion for football, eagerly anticipating the Super Bowl each year, reveling in the company of friends and family. He also owned and operated Bo's Light House, a karaoke haven where laughter and music intertwined, creating everlasting bonds among participants.  He didn't know a stranger!   Bo’s interests included hunting, a pursuit where he showcased his remarkable shooting skills, proudly displaying 20 heads that bore testimony to his adventures. His fondness for travel took him to Africa, where he left footprints that would surely be filled with stories of awe and discovery.

His family was his pride and joy. Bo is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Tammy Lynn (Conaway) Boso, who stood by him through the ebbs and flows of life. He is also survived by his stepson Vince (Sara) Zastudil of Toronto, three cherished grandchildren: Hayleh (Robert) Daley, Issaac Zastudil, and Gracee Zastudil, and two great-grandchildren, Luke and Beau Daley, whose laughter brought him immense joy. His connection to his roots remained strong, as he is survived by his twin sister Donna (William) Rihel of California, and Mary Ellen (Robert) Petrozzi of Dillonvale.

Bo leaves behind cherished memories of love and kindness, having touched the lives of many with his heart of gold. His departed loved ones, Isaac and Theresa (Martineze) Boso, and sister Elizabeth Ann Boso, will forever hold a treasured place in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on February 15, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Toronto American Legion Post 86, located at 415 Market St, Toronto, OH.
