Richard William Lucas, 90, of Rayland, OH. Born 7-5-32 at home in Martins Ferry, OH to Thelma (Reynard) Lucas and Clyde C. Lucas, fell asleep in death on 7-8-2022 at home with his loving wife at his side.
He was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School class of 1950. He proudly worked during his career as an industrial electrician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clyde and Charles Lucas, his sisters Louella Cheffey and Elizabeth Bennington and a son Rick Lucas.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years Audrey (Swetz) Lucas, Children, Linda (Mike) Kinter, Pam Hough, Diane (Nick) Christofferson, Bill and Megan Lucas. Thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard Enjoyed traveling and loved hiking, camping, fishing and was an avid bird watcher.
He dedicated his life in service to Jehovah God on 3-6-1971 and was a member of the Wheeling Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He remained faithful to his last breath.
There will be a memorial service and celebration of his life on Sunday July 17th-2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 2090 Angle Ave. Wheeling, W.V. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, masks are strongly recommended. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Jehovah's Witness Worldwide Work @ jw.org.
