Richard Leroy Thorne

Richard Leroy Thorne Sr., 76, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away suddenly at his home on February 20, 2018.

He was born on March 29, 1941 in Brilliant, Ohio, to the late Gerald and Thelma Mae (Hayes) Thorne.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Nina McCartney and son Jerry Lee Thorne.

He is survived by his sisters Dixie (Don) Christy, Shirley (Harry) Mitchell and Gerri Ann Thorne, sons Richard (Donna) Thorne Jr., Daniel (Sharon) Thorne, daughter Katherine (Carl) Randalson.

Ten grandchildren Heather Muckle, Miranda Thorne, Cole (Sloane)Thorne, Shiann Morris, Levi Wood, Daniel (Brandy) Thorne, Sharena (Tyler) Merritt, and Kirsten & Colt Thorne, Taylor Thorne.

Fourteen great grandchildren Keshaun, Asia, Gavin and Juel Muckle, Aiden & Lyla Brown, Kyrn, Selena, Teagan, and Lillyonna Thorne, Melanie Thorne and Marshall Morris Jr., Andrew Thorne & Dominic Thorne.

He was the Owner and Operator of Thorne's Meat Packing & Thorne's Meat Cutting School. Richard's wish was to be cremated with no services observed.
