Richard Gustave Tyson

Richard (Dick) Gustauve Tyson born in July 27, 1948 was called home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2019 after a very brief battle of pancreatic cancer at Valley Hospice surrounded by his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his father William Tyson, mother Helen Kramer Tyson, brothers, Bob and Charlie all of Weirton, Wv. Also his beloved pet Buffy.
He is survived by his companion of 30 years Marie Creamer of Steubenville. 4children that he thought of like his own. Chris (Anne) Creamer of Scio, Robin (David) Higginbotham of Toronto, Amy (Jeffery) Lamp of McKinleyville, and Betsy Lumpkin of Steubenville. Also 2 sons Michael and Chuck.
He was retired from Weirton Steel. He loved NASCAR races. And for 45 years of his life he and his best friend Larry (Crazy Larry) Bennish attended the NASCAR races in WATKINS Glen, NY  since 1967 and met several NASCAR drivers. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and penguins. He also never missed an episode of Jeopardy. He loved working crossword puzzles, especially the daily one in the Herald Star, and word scrambles.
He will be missed beyond words.
His family would like to give a special THANKS to the nurses Kristen, Donna, LeAnn, and Stephanie from valley hospice that came to his house and the nurses  Sara and Tammy at the  Valley Hospice care Facility at Trinity West for the kindest they gave during his final days. The family is being assisted by the Schuetz Funeral Home.
