Sarah Emma (Logsdon) Lucas

Sarah Emma Logsdon Lucas, 61, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017.  Sarah was born on April 28, 1956 in Martin's Ferry, OH. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Joann (Wolfe) Logsdon.  She is also preceded in death by her brother Stanley Logsdon and sister Catherine Ann Logsdon.

She is survived by her husband Michael Lucas of Mingo Junction, daughter Joanna Lucas and grand daughter Bentlee of Steubenville, Ohio

Sarah was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.  She graduated from Mingo High School in 1974 and was formerly employed as a bakery chef at Williams Country Club.  Sarah was an accomplished cook and baker, as well as, an avid Steelers fan.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors and spoiling her grand daughter and many nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are her sister Jacinta (Larry) Brown of Wintersville, brother Charles (Max) Logsdon of Mingo Jct., nieces Amanda (James) Speece of Mingo Jct., Brandy (Daniel) Thorn of Wintersvillle, Courtney Brown and companion Matt Zook of Mingo Jct., Ashley Lucas of Buxton, Maine, nephews Joshua Brown of Wintersville, and Jerry Alan Lucas II of Dayton, Maine, great nephews Marek and Lane Speece, Gage Brown, Dominic Thorn and great niece Baylee Brown.

Friends will be received at Schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave. Mingo Jct., from 3 - 7 pm  on Friday August 4, 2017.
