"Steve" M. Kozora, 75, of Colliers, WV, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024 with his wife and soulmate of 34 years, holding his hand. His battle with Parkinson's Disease , and other severe illnesses is now over and he can now rest.
Steve was born on December 31, 1948 to the late Steve and Leona (Radosovic) Kozora. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law Joseph (Joe) Makara, his fur babies, Kitty Girl and Zippy.
Steve was such a kind, Caring, and talented good man. He retired from Weirton Steel after 32 years of service; he also served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Steve spent his spare time restoring antique vehicles, tinkering in his garage, building bird houses, taking care of his home. and yard, which he always made sure looked pin perfect and going to car cruises with his wife and soulmate Tammy.
Left behind to mourn his loss is his soulmate of 34 years (28 of them being married) after celebrating their anniversary on Nov. 11, also left behind are his stepson Brandon (Steph) Rouse of Avella, PA, mother-in-law Dorothy Makara, brother-in-law Rick Makara Both of Mingo Jct. OH, sister-in-law Bonita Farinelli of Carnegie, PA and so importantly Lexi, his precious fur baby who is so lost without him as we all are.
I want to thank Amedisys Hospice and Visiting Angels for the kindness and care they provide even though it was a short time. Honoring Steve's final wishes there will be no visitation, Cremation services entrusted to Schuetz Funeral Home.
