Thelma Sandra (Paavola) Buchmelter

Thelma Sandra (Paavola) Buchmelter 75, of Mingo Jct. OH peacefully left this world on Sunday, March 19, 2017.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a friend to all she met.  There wasn't a person she met that didn't love her for her kindness and compassionate.

Born August 17, 1941 to the late Elmer and Pauline (Collins) Paavola, but was raised by her late adopted parents Nick and Margaret Paul.  Also preceded in death were her in- laws John and Mary Buchmelter and son Benjamin Buchmelter.

She leaves behind her husband John "Boom Boom" Buchmelter III of 50 years, a son John (Tania) Buchmelter IV of Danbury, CT, a daughter Mary (Ron) Kucynski of Maineville, OH, sister Kathy (Charlie) Urban of Eastake, OH, half brother Jim Perry and several nieces and nephews.

She worked at WSTV Radio as a secretary and telephone operator for several years before marrying the love of her life.

Visitation at Schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave. Mingo Jct., Wednesday March 22, 2017 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Vigil Service at 3:45 pm. Viewing again at St. Agnes Church Mingo Jct., 9:30 am until Mass with Liturgy at 10:30 am with Father Jim Dunfee celebrant.  Burial at Oakland Cemetery. Donations in Thelma's memory may be made to St. Agnes Church or Brilliant Book Club.
