Verna Kay (Blauser) Pyles, 77, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 30, 2019 in Glendale, AZ surrounded by her children. Verna Kay was born September 22nd, 1941 in Baltimore, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Irene Blauser.
She graduated from Liberty Union High School in 1960 and worked for the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles until she married Floyd William Pyles, moving to Mingo Junction in 1971. She was a very active member of several churches including the First United Methodist Church where she greatly enjoyed her weekly Bible studies in church and in the community. She was a friend to many and was well known & loved throughout the local community.
She is survived by her sister Yvonne Troche of Panama City, FL; her brother Daniel Blauser of Israel; her son William, dtr-in-law Amanda Pyles, two grandchildren Jack and Emily of Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Floyd William Pyles; her parents Byron and Irene Blauser; her brother Darrell Blauser; her sister Louise Skoda of Whitehall, Ohio and her grandson Will Pyles.
The family will receive family and friends at a memorial service which will be conducted Saturday September 7, 2019 from 2 pm until time of service at 4 pm with Pastor Sam Davis at Schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave Mingo Junction, OH 43938. Burial at the convenience of the family.
