Walter "Wally" Thomas Baranski, 51, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on August 1, 2023. He was born on November 4, 1971 in Wheeling, WV, to the late Walter Peter Baranski and surviving mother, Eleanor Marie (Wallizer) Baranski. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis "Doc" Baranski, and Stanley Baranski. Upon high school graduation, he was awarded a full scholarship to West Virginia Wesleyan College for tennis. In his youth, he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. He had a special love for and interest in nature, and he enjoyed music, drums and cooking. He was a talented carpenter and painter and was a former employee of Kalkreuth Roofing. Wally was always a stranger's best friend and would give a helping hand to anyone. With a highly contagious laugh and a very original sense of humor, he wore his heart on his sleeve. Wally lived his life by the motto "Just Kick It." A loving father, he is survived by his two children, Morganne (Ben) Suter of Richmond, VA, and Kiersten Baranski-Holman of Triadelphia, WV, and eight siblings; Michael (Julia) Baranski of North Carolina, Phillip Baranski of Wheeling, Stephen (Lexi) Baranski of Wheeling, Therese Shiflett of Florida, Gregory Baranski of Wheeling, Barbara (Jonathon) Boole of South Carolina, James Baranski of Wheeling, and Anita (Baranski) VanDyne of Wheeling. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Schuetz Funeral Home, 4719 Jacob Street, Wheeling, WV, is assisting the family.
