William Jonathan Cherry Jr.

William “Billy” Jonathan Cherry Jr. of McMechen, passed away on Thursday, August 18th 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Billy was born in November of 1964. He graduated from West Liberty University with a bachelors in business, and was very active in sports throughout his lifetime. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Beth and William Cherry Sr. of Mozart. He is survived by his wife, of 30 years, Faye (Carmichael) Cherry of McMechen, and their children; Zachary (Erika) Coffield of Bellaire, Olivia (Ivanna) Perez of St. Clairsville, Bethany (Matthew) Ewing of Benwood, and Dallas Carmichael of McMechen. He also has a surviving sister Lori (Steve) Dobyns, and a brother Michael (Mindy) Cherry. He also leaves behind 5 beloved grandchildren, and his 2 four-legged kids; Lucy and Marshall. We would love for friends and family to come and celebrate his life on September 3rd, at the Benwood Legion starting at 4 pm.
